The next few years look like they will be rocky, politically, with the Coalition being – just barely – returned as the Government.
I don’t have the reflexive concern shared by a lot of people for governments that only hold a slim majority, as the Turnbull Government will have. Women make a sharp distinction between function and style when purchasing active wear, according to results from focus groups as part of our Active Wear: Forecasting Future Trends in Female Consumer Behaviour research project.
In a pointed warning to active wear brands and retailers, the research found women will pay more for functional active wear that provides comfort, is breathable and hides sweat but will pay less for style-based active wear that looks good and is assumed to have only basic functionality.

I’m very pleased to announce that Mick Spencer from sportswear company ONTHEGO, who recently received $600,000 funding from three investors on the hit Channel 10 reality show Shark Tank, will be presenting at the ASGA Conference on Thursday 23 June 2016.
Mick will be talking about how he launched his business as a 21 year old from his parent’s house in Canberra, to supplying David Jones and launching in overseas markets including China, India and Fiji. He’ll also give his thoughts into what happened on the show and how he prepared for it.

Women’s active wear consumption grew 50 per cent ($20 million to $30 million) from 2012 to 2014 in Australia, according to a new report from the Australian Sporting Goods Association Inc. (ASGA).
